Tea rooms/delecatesants

All the range of teas which are availalable many more than i imagined anyway! Good for a range of tea tags which im looking to produce.

The way tihs box is looks so professional with the insert something which isnt that expensive to achieve printed on tracing paper.

Tea packaging

I have began by brainstorming a lot of ideas onto a sheet on my chosen "GOOD" subject which is tea rooms and delecatesants.i have explored many different areas not always thinking of a print medium to begin with. so throughout this design context i am going to dig deeper into all the different sub catergories i have wrote down.. The first of these being tea packaging. I have been thinking about the form of tea and specifically the tea bag once squeeze and seeing how design can effect or add to the action of this. innotave ways to dispose of the bags etc. what materials are used and how companys make a range of products how the packaging changes for this such as colours. i really admire the twining loose early grey packaging i love the use of paper and the layers of it before you reach the product it looks expensive and adds to the want for twinings specialist products.

How tea is made.

My initial reason why i have chosen tea.

I went into bettys tea room as my initial want for the old vintage tea rooms in harrogate the way yo walk in an the smell of the cafe flooded your nose fresh cakes and the warmth of tea.

Printing processes

Screenprint printing process at a commercial level: each board prints the cyan then magenta yellow and black until have a complete image! impressive takes the fun out of it if you ask me!!

transfering 2D screen images onto 3D objects such as lighters pens.

Greggs packaging

As i want to rebrand greggs bakery i went into one of there stores in harrogate and asked for one of each of there packages i need to think about storing them when i make my designs they need to lye down flat as these ones do really im trying to make a point about the fact that Bettys a delcatesant which you will see down below has been opened in te 50's as greggs and yet bettys is up to such a high quality and gives this aura of expense i want to take greggs back to its roots and also try and add this vintage family feel to its logo and products. 

Bettys carrier bags and product designs

All Bettys products are handmade in store and there packaging relates to this it really has that quality look and feel which is interesting as they use brown paper as do gregga there colours are very similiar. greggs has a greasy fast food feeling to it where as bettys has a classic design.

Bettys tea room has this aura as soon as you walk in of old fashioned as if you were in a sweet shop during the rationing of the war PURE LUXUARY! they way the packaging is just suggests its been around for a while even hpw they display there items on old furniture and in wicker baskets. amazing.

Even where it is situated is gorgeous an old fashioned building when architecture was at its best.

Then we have greggs a fast food well one of the nicest bakeys yet still could be better! the colours scream cheap and simple yet as i have found out not simple all fresh! made on site that day yes a delectesant the same as bettys! and open for just as long...
